More than 100 facilities and offers of the Diakonie Mark-Ruhr are located in the regions of Märkischer Kreis, Hagen, Ennepe-Ruhr Kreis as well as in Schwerte and Fröndenberg-Frömern (both Unna district). Among other things, there are 14 old people's homes sponsored by Diakonie Mark-Ruhr, plus 18 diakonia stations and numerous advice and support services such as advice centers for the homeless or advice on immigration and refugees. At the new location is the Diakonie Mark-Ruhr advice center in Hagen, which has been located in Hagener Körnerstraße since June 2018 and offers care and cancer advice as well as an outpatient hospice service.

In addition to the station mission, there is also Luther's laundromat in Hagen. There is also an advice center for the homeless and one for the unemployed. For the homeless, a mobile doctor is also offered, which offers consultation hours with volunteer doctors and assistants. Luther's laundromat offers an open meeting point two days a week for homeless people, people at risk of housing loss, and former homeless people and / or people with low incomes. Doctors and nurses work here on a voluntary basis to provide medical care for homeless people. They are supported by general medicine students from the University of Witten-Herdecke who are completing part of their practical training in medical care for the homeless. With the doctor's mobile, an additional low-threshold component of medical care has been available since December 2010.

Through the Friederike Fliedner Vocational College, Diakonie Mark-Ruhr offers the Bachelor's degree in “Social Work” for graduates of the College of Social Education. The Friederike Fliedner Vocational College in Iserlohn is a state-approved vocational college for social and health care at upper secondary level. Anyone who later works as a social worker in old people's homes, day care centers or outpatient services or as an educator in all areas of child and youth welfare or would like to acquire the qualification to study at a university of applied sciences is at the right address at this school.
