Berrichon du Cher is a beef sheep breed that was created in France in the late 18th century by crossing merino sheep and English breeds.

The Berrichon du Cher is a pure white, medium to large-framed meat sheep . The broad, hornless head is not woolly. Only older animals sometimes have a wool tuft. The stomach is also often only partially covered with wool. The breeding of Berrichon du Cher sheep is carried out in France by the state breeding organization GE.O.DE. (Genetique ovine et developpement) centrally organized. Berrichon du Cher bucks are the most frequently used terminal crossing partners for land and dairy sheep breeds in France.
