Professional aptitude test (test battery)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The job aptitude test (BET for short) is a performance test in the form of a psychological test battery. It was developed in order to be able to make a prediction of the suitability for different training occupations. The test battery includes 12 individual tests. The special thing about it is that it also records motor skills in addition to cognitive skills. The test is standardized for test subjects between 14 and 38 years of age. There are requirement standards for 64 professions. The processing time is estimated at 150 minutes, which should include a 15-minute break.

Emergence

The professional qualification test is the German-language adaptation of the American General Aptitude Test Battery (GATB) by H. Schmale and H. Schmidtke .

Scale markings

The individual tests are identified with the following scale names:

  • Tool comparison
  • Body development
  • Address comparison
  • Basic arithmetic
  • Figure reading
  • Arithmetic problems
  • Similarities and opposites of terms
  • Draw lines
  • Insert the peg
  • Turn the pin over
  • Install the washer

Parallel forms are available for the first seven individual tests . The test can be carried out as a group test. Since only one subject can work on the breadboard, test material can be saved by changing the order of the subtests for the individual groups.
