Procurement current is a German-language monthly magazine for buyers, purchasing managers and managing directors who deal with strategic and operational purchasing. It has been on the market since 1954 and is mainly sold by subscription. The trade journal Beschendung aktuell is a publication of the Konradin media group .
history
When the first nationwide buyers' meeting took place in Stuttgart in autumn 1954, the Federal Association for Industrial Purchasing BIE was founded. In December, the first edition of the trade magazine “Der Industriellekauf” appeared. The editor was Max Rembeck, Hans Dannemann acted as the publisher; Kind, Hans Ovelgönne and H. Rump were among the men from the very beginning. The beginnings were difficult; the magazine, which appears six times a year, was run by a small publishing company under civil law; the hoped-for cooperation from purchasing circles largely failed to materialize. In the winter of 1969/70 the workload of the magazine became heavy for the founders. From 1970 the Konradin Verlag takes over the title. In 1971 the magazine appeared with ten issues. In 1972, the cover was produced using four-color printing, and with the first issue in 1973, the new title, “Beschendung aktuell”, saw the light of day. The Federal Association of Industrial Purchasing BIE was renamed the Federal Association of Materials Management and Purchasing BME in 1979. In October 1988, the BME discovered logistics for itself under the aspect of integrated materials management and incorporated it into its name: "Federal Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics". - With five relaunches in 60 years, the specialist magazine for purchasing, materials management and logistics “Beschendung aktuell” has taken a straight line and has accompanied the purchasing profession to this day.
