Library of electroplating

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The electroplating library in Nördlingen is a company library of Riesmetall GmbH, which is one of the most extensive collections of electroplating literature in the world . It comprises over a thousand publications, in addition to specialist journals, especially monographs (textbooks and scientific works in more than ten languages), which consistently describe the entire field of electroplating from its beginnings around 1840 to the present day.

80 percent of the works are in German; all essential standard works are available in all editions. To be emphasized are:

  • Series of publications and textbooks by Eugen G. Leuze Verlag; completely
  • Monthly magazine "Galvanotechnik"; complete from the first post-war edition
  • Extensive literature and picture catalogs on the subject of "electroplating"

Joachim Ramisch, who is active in the electroplating industry, has made the preservation and transmission of electroplating specialist literature his task and has compiled the library. His voluntary work in various committees of electroplating associations such as the German Society for Electroplating and Surface Technology , the Gütegemeinschaft Galvanotechnik and the Working Group of Deutsche Galvanotechnik was helpful .

The library of electroplating technology is available as a basic collection to all who study and are practically involved with this technology.
