The Klaipėda University Library (lit. Klaipėdos universiteto biblioteka ) is a university library in the third largest Lithuanian city ​​of Klaipėda . It belongs to the University of Klaipėda (KU). The fund consists of 340,627 copies (157,736 titles). She is a member of the Lithuanian Association of Scientific Libraries (LMBA).

history

The library was founded in the Lithuanian port city on the Baltic Sea in 1991 after the University of Klaipėda was founded. In 2001 the integrated library system ALEPH started to work. Then the following databases were also developed: the electronic catalog of the library, the scientific full-text journals of the KU and publications about KU. The KU library today publishes publications by scholars and researchers in the Lithuanian academic electronic system (eLABa), contains master's theses, dissertations and summaries thereof.
