Big Bend (Swaziland)

Big Bend is a city in the Lubombo region in eastern Swaziland . It is 77 meters above sea level on the Lusutfu River , which changes direction several times here, giving it its name. In 1997 the population was 9,374. The area around Big Bend is dominated by sugar cane plantations . The city includes the Ubombo Primary School and the Sisekelo High School, as well as a prison.
The city is on the MR8 , which connects the inland with the southern border post to South Africa near eGolela .
