The Big and Ugly Rendering Project (BURP) is a project for rendering of 3D animations , which is the principle of the distributed computing uses.

Project

Those who make the computing power of their computers available to render animations can, in return, have films rendered that take too long on their computer. It is based on the BOINC infrastructure.

BURP uses the Blender renderer and is currently still in a beta test phase. The demands on your own computer are relatively high with at least 300 MB of RAM. The project is aimed primarily at professional graphic designers who have prior knowledge of 3D rendering. However, beginners can create simple animations after a training period.
