Bigote Arrocet (actually Edmundo Arrocet von Lohse , born November 29, 1949 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine - Chilean singer , comedian and actor .

Life

Arrocet, son of a Spanish father of Catalan origin and a German-Spanish woman with Basque roots, initially spent his childhood in Argentina. From the age of eleven he lived in Chile. At the age of 20 he was discovered at the Viña del Mar International Singing Festival and subsequently performed with many greats in the Spanish-speaking world of music. Since his appearance at the festival in Viña in 1974 - a few months after the coup in Chile in 1973  - which ended with a symbolic kneeling before Augusto Pinochet , he has been said to be close to the Chilean military dictatorship. In the second half of the 1970s he began a second career as a humorist in Spain , where he worked on a number of films and appeared on Spanish television . From 1979 to 1981 he participated in the music show Aplauso and from 1977 to 1992 he was part of the regular cast of the very popular game show Un, dos, tres… responda otra vez .
