The Berlin-Brandenburg Education Server (bbb) is an information, communication and cooperation platform for the Berlin-Brandenburg education region and is primarily aimed at educational actors in the education sector.

It offers a target group-oriented, structured and qualified information selection of educational offers, materials and topics related to the two countries. As a pedagogical guide to the online and advanced training offers of educational institutions and organizations in the states of Berlin and Brandenburg, the bbb wants to promote networking in this educational region.

In addition to the information offered, working groups can cooperate online for further training purposes in closed work areas or use virtual course rooms and e-learning learning environments.

history

It started on January 14th, 2009 as the first joint education server of two federal states and was created through the merger of its two predecessors, the Berlin Education Server (BeBiS) and the Brandenburg Education Server (BBS). As an information and service offer of the State Institute for School and Media Berlin-Brandenburg (LISUM) on behalf of the Senate Department for Education, Science and Research in Berlin and the Ministry for Education, Youth and Sport in the State of Brandenburg, conceptually, technically and editorially supervised. The bbb cooperates with the German education server and the education servers of the federal states.
