Birdie pool

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The classic Birdie Pool (also Birdie pool or Birdie pool ) is a special classification within a golf tournament .

In this special evaluation, the participating players pay a fixed amount into a pool (“pot”, “pot”). At the end of the day, this is divided among the players who played a birdie at a predetermined hole . The larger the number of participants for this special rating and the fewer players who have played a birdie at this hole, the higher the payout rate for those players who have played a birdie.

According to the German Golf Association (DGV), the birdie pool is allowed in the amateur area. Regardless of the amount paid out, the amateur status remains unrestricted.
