Bishopric of Lacedonia

The diocese of Lacedonia ( lat . : Dioecesis Laquedoniensis ) was a Roman Catholic diocese in Italy with its seat in Lacedonia (Campania).

It was built in the 11th century. The first surviving bishop is Desiderius, mentioned in 1082. It is known that it had predecessors.

Lacedonia was a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Conza . In 1818 the diocese of Trevico was united with Lacedonia. On September 30, 1986, the diocese was combined with Ariano Irpino to form the diocese of Ariano Irpino-Lacedonia .
