Bit swapping

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bitswapping refers to a method with which the data of a disturbed transmission channel can be redirected to other channels. This enables the disturbance to be compensated for if the disturbance is not permanent.

ADSL

With ADSL connections, persistent interference can lead to a loss of synchronization (loss of connection).

ADSL2

With ADSL2 connections, in the event of a persistent disruption, the bandwidth of the connection is reduced to such an extent that interference-free data transmission is possible by rerouting the data to be sent through the damaged channel to the other channels without overloading them.
