The Blériot IX was a monoplane of the French aviation pioneer Louis Blériot .

construction

The aircraft was a mid-decker with an open cockpit. The landing gear consisted of a two-wheeled main landing gear and a support wheel attached to the rear section of the fuselage. A special feature was a metal propeller that could be adjusted on the ground.

use

The aircraft was exhibited at the first air show at the Grand Palais in Paris. During testing, the aircraft turned out to be too heavy and did not take off.
