Middle decker

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As means Decker be aircraft with a centrally arranged on the fuselage wing , respectively. Aerodynamically, the middle- wing arrangement is the best solution, especially for high-performance aircraft (for example, most gliders are middle- wing ). This design is less useful for passenger and transport machines because the wing spar would run through the cabin. (However, the HFB 320 avoids this problem with a negative sweep , so that the spar only runs through the fuselage behind the cabin).
