Blue paper (packaging material)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Blue paper is used as a lining in fruit boxes. It serves to protect the loose fruits (e.g. apples) from damage in transit. Since most types of fruit (apples, oranges, cherries, etc.) have a warm color tone, the goods are presented with more contrasts due to the blue. This is hoped for better sales.

The blue paper is usually offered in the following sizes:

  • Floor bracket: 47 cm × 37.5 cm for wooden sea chest (50 cm × 38 cm × 27 cm)
  • Floor bracket : 40 cm × 57.5 cm for fruit crates (in accordance with the International Fruit Container Organization , IFCO) of type 64xx (60 cm × 40 cm)
  • Floor bracket: 26 cm × 38 cm for 2 boxes (health food deposit systems, NAPF, internal dimensions: 27.4 cm × 37.4 cm × 26 cm)
  • Side bands are also offered as side linings in appropriate dimensions
