The Bleu de Bresse , also called Bresse Bleu , is a French blue cheese from the Bresse in eastern France. This cheese has been made on a large scale since the end of World War II . It is therefore one of the so-called Industriel varieties.

Typical of the Bresse Bleu is a soft dough with small blue spots of mold. The cheese, which has a white mold rind, is made in three different sizes. The largest shape has a diameter of around 10 centimeters and a height of 6.5 centimeters. The cheese then weighs around 500 grams. The smallest cheeses are six centimeters in diameter and weigh 125 grams. They are offered directly to end consumers in this form.

A sweet white wine is particularly suitable as a drink with Bresse Bleu.
