Blickpunkt Archäologie is an archaeological journal published by the Presidium of the German Associations for Ancient Studies . It appears quarterly with the following sections

The journal continues the Archäologische Nachrichtenblatt with a stronger focus on a broader public . It does without some subject-specific rubrics from the previous magazine, such as the presentation of university theses or personalities (apart from obituaries). After its founding, it was initially published by Konrad Theiss Verlag in 2013 , but moved to the Friedrich Pfeil publishing house in Munich in 2015 . It is not available in Open Access.
