BlindWrite is a computer program from the French company VSO-Software for copying CDs , DVDs and Blu-ray Discs. The program offers the user the option of bypassing any existing copy protection measures and thus violates the law in Germany and many other EU countries. For this reason, distribution and commercial use is prohibited in Germany. Such programs are not prohibited in Switzerland.

The main features of the software are two functions that have been inherited from its predecessor, BlindRead. On the one hand, these are subcodes for describing the read-in medium and, on the other hand, the ability to react “blindly” to errors on the data carrier, ie not to abort with an error message as with other software, but to simply continue the reading process.

In addition to the copy function, BlindWrite also offers the option of creating memory images of data carriers , which can then also be used by other programs.
