Hemostasis edema

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A blood stasis edema can occur when the capillary system is put under increased pressure by blood back pressure and this leads to fluid accumulation in the tissue and the formation of edema . Possible causes are a local obstruction of the blood flow and a general cardiac-related flow obstruction.
