Floor heating

A floor heating is as supportive heating in aquarium use. It heats the bottom of the basin and thus supports plant growth.

Even in the wild, the bottom of bodies of water is a few degrees warmer than the water above. The warmth of the soil helps to ensure that the soil is heated evenly and is constantly, weakly flooded.

Installation in the pool

Floor heating is laid in a spiral on the pool floor with the help of suction cups . The individual soil layers are then laid on top of this.

Floor heating is an insulated heating wire which is covered with a plastic layer. Floor heating systems are usually undersized in terms of heating output. However, this is desirable because with underfloor heating: Better too little than too much . As already mentioned above, floor heating is only a support and does not replace rod heating .
