Soil science construction supervision

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Soil construction supervision (short: BBB) is an instrument to protect the soil at construction sites, mainly in Switzerland. The BBB corresponds to a specialist site management for the area of soil and is perceived by a specialist trained in soil science and soil ecology with the appropriate professional qualifications.

Use and tasks

Soil science construction supervision is primarily used for larger construction projects and those outside the construction zone as well as for projects with very sensitive soils.

The aim of the soil science construction supervision is compliance with the soil protection regulations as well as the project-specific requirements from the respective approval process. According to the Code of Obligations, the precise tasks and competencies of the BBB are the subject of contractual agreements between the specialist and the client and are usually specified in a specification.
