Body drag

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bodydrag or Körperzug designates a maneuver when windsurfing or kite surfing , in which the surfer is pulled by the sail or hang over or through the water. In windsurfing, the maneuver is part of the trick surfer's repertoire, in kitesurfing it is part of the beginner's training. When kitesurfing, the body drag is essential to return to the board after a fall. If you have mastered the body drag, you can do without the board leash . The use of a board leash can lead to severe head injuries if the board is pushed underwater and suddenly the tension of the board leash catapults the board towards the kiter.
