The Bonita GmbH is a German clothing chain based in Hamminkeln . Bonita sells women's clothing in 815 of its own branches (as of December 2017) and is aimed at women aged 50 and over (" Best Agers ").

An important feature of the range is that the items of clothing can be combined with different outfits. The respective colors are coordinated with each other within seasonally changing color themes. The collections are complemented by matching BONITA accessories. This includes scarves, shawls, necklaces, belts, watches and bags. The development process for these products is controlled by BONITA itself without a license partner.

history

In 1969 the company Moha in Bocholt was taken over by Günter Biegert. In 1986 the company was renamed Bonita , and a year later the first Bonita branch was opened in Kleve . In the following years, more and more branches were opened and expansion into the surrounding European countries was driven forward. In addition, the central administration in Hamminkeln with associated logistics was expanded and enlarged.

In 2010 a new logistics center was put into operation at the Hamminkeln location . At the same time, the company switched its business software to SAP . In August 2012, Tom Tailor took over the Bonita brand.

Bonita achieved total sales of EUR 268 million in the 2017 financial year. After turbulent years, the company has reorganized itself and revised the brand, product and branch portfolio. In this context, a collection in cooperation with the German model Franziska Knuppe was brought onto the market in 2018 . The Bonita brand is sold in the following countries:
