Rating

Scoring ( Scoring ) is proper, qualitative assessment of agricultural viewing objects. The activity is called "rating". Originally, the rating, analogous to the inventory , was an expert assessment of the quality, for example of wool and woolen fabrics. The term is now only in agricultural used together, such as the collection of plant traits or agricultural soils .

Assessment of plants

The rating of plants includes all observations and work on the phenotype of a plant, such as B. measuring leaf lengths or counting insects living on the plant .

Credit scores are used to determine the damage to plants caused by pests or diseases. They enable the definition of protective and maintenance measures, for example the use of fertilizer.

Rating of soils

The rating of soils collects economically relevant factors of the soils, taking into account the environmental influences such as climate and water, and assesses the soils in soil numbers from 1 to 100.

Other uses of the term

The term rating is also used in other areas, for example the rating of honey , milk or cheese .
