Boodes
Boodes ( Greek Βοώδης ) was a member of the Senate of Carthage . He took part in the First Punic War (264–241 BC) and commanded part of the navy, which ran in 260 BC. Defeated the Roman fleet under the leadership of Hannibal Gisko in the Battle of the Lipari Islands . After the battle, Boodes captured the Roman consul Gnaeus Cornelius Scipio Asina (source: Polybios 1, 21, 6).
