Boat paint

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Boat lacquer is a particularly powerful protective lacquer for wood used in boat building . Due to the heavy load, it should be abrasion-proof and resistant to salt water and UV radiation . Boat varnish is used for the base, intermediate and top coat on wooden substrates, both inside and outside (e.g. benches, shelves, paneling, roof soffits or wooden boats that are not permanently in the water or do not require antifouling paint). It is characterized by high elasticity, good body and water resistance (sea water resistant). Boat varnish dries slowly due to the high oil content.
