Borderliners Anonymous

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Borderliners Anonymous ( BA ) is a twelve-step program for people with borderline personality disorder. BA works with a modified Alcoholics Anonymous program .

Every borderliner can become a member. BA does not ask for membership fees and is financed by donations from members. In regular meetings, those affected have the opportunity to talk about topics of their own choosing.

The program

In twelve-step groups , it is common to let other participants finish speaking and not rate their contributions. The meetings are not dialogue groups; it is rather about the participants getting a new relationship to their lives by listening and describing their own situation.

Alternatives

Contact points for further help include doctors , psychotherapists , charities and self-help contact points . In addition to the twelve-step groups, in some cities there are also self-help programs that deal with borderline disease.
