Borg (domestic pig)

As Borg (medium high German BARC : [male] verschnittenes pig '; scenic also Barch , Barg , Bark , Bork , boron , Kunze or Poelk ) a up to the sixth week of life or generally a castrated boars , respectively. Castration without anesthesia was only allowed in Germany until July 13, 2013. As early as April 25, 2006, it was restricted to male pigs under eight days old.

Boars that are castrated a few weeks before slaughter are called old tailors or late tailors.

The lard from the cut pork (Middle High German bergīn smër ) was used therapeutically.
