EMDEN and AURICH were narrow-gauge steam locomotives for the 900 mm gauge of the Borkumer Kleinbahn .

history

The locomotives were built in 1906 by the Hohenzollern company with the serial numbers 2037 and 2039. But it wasn't until 1908 and June 1910 that they were delivered to the Borkumer Kleinbahn, as the original customer did not need them. AURICH was discarded and scrapped in 1952, and EMDEN found a new use in the fishing cooperative for shrimp boiling from 1947.

construction

The locomotives largely corresponded to the Hohenzollern TIGER type, which was built by the Hohenzollern machine factory from 1905 to 1922 in different variations. The locomotive had an output of 60 hp with an operating weight of 9.0 t. The second axis was driven.
