Bos (unit)

Bos was a Dutch counting and piece measure. The measure was used in the timber trade and corresponded to the bundle or pack . In Dutch it was called Hoephout or tire wood and was the starting material for the barrel hoop production by the hoop cutter .

  • 1 Bos = 25 pieces of Hoepen (wood for barrel hoops)
  • 40 Bos = 1000 pieces
