Altenburg Botanical Adventure Garden

The Altenburg Botanical Adventure Garden is located in Altenburg in Thuringia . The foundation goes back to 1928. In 2003 the city of Altenburg closed the botanical garden in order to save money. It was revived in 2005 on the initiative of the regional association "Altenburger Land der Kleingärtner". It is open from April to October; entry is free. The area is 8000 m². Over 2500 plant species are cared for.
