Reactions

The then attorney general Beatrice Ask said in a statement that according to American accounts, measures had been taken to ensure security in the vicinity of US offices. She went on to say, “I think it is very serious that there is any suspicion that things have happened here that are not compatible with Swedish law. It is also serious that the Swedish authorities had no insight into what was going on. Therefore we now have to inform ourselves comprehensively about the incidents and evaluate them. ” The then opposition Left Party requested the parliamentary constitutional committee to investigate the events.
