Boujaron

The boujaron was a small liquid measure on ships. The measure was cup size and was intended for rationing and serving mainly high-proof alcoholic drinks to the ship's crew. The amount corresponded to three times the content of today's shot glass. The boujaron therefore had about 6 centiliters .
