Bowili (people)

The Bowili are a people in Ghana who are also called Bowiri , Tuwili , Liwuli , Siwuri , or Bawuli .

The Bowili live in a small settlement area on the eastern bank of the Volta reservoir near the border with Togo, without having any points of contact with it. The settlement area of ​​the Bowili lies roughly between the villages of Bowiri Odumase, Kwamekrom, Odumase, Amanfrom and Takrabe.

About 12,000 people are assigned to this ethnic group. They speak the Tuwuli language as their mother tongue.
