Brüscha

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Brüscha ( Rhaeto-Romanic in the idiom Puter ( brüscher “sengen”, which in turn is derived from the Italian bruciare “burn”)) is a valley wind in the Upper Engadine in Switzerland . Like most mountain winds, the Brüscha is dependent on the sun and blows up the valley, as the mountains have longer solar radiation at higher altitudes than the valleys. Because the Upper Engadin is a wide valley, the effect is not strong. With the Maloja wind , the Brüscha experiences a strong headwind.
