The Braich Goch Slate Mine is a former black shale mine at Corris Uchaf , Machynlleth , Powys in Wales.

Open mining began around 1800. From 1836 various tunnels were driven into the mountain. After the Corris Railway opened in 1859, the Braich Goch Slate Quarry Co. was founded in 1864. At its peak in 1878, 250 employees extracted around 7,000 tons of slabs and roofing slate. The company went bankrupt in 1906. Six other operators followed until the mine was finally shut down in 1970. A total of seven levels were dismantled. Some parts are open to visitors today.
