The Brander bull is the symbol of the Aachen district of Brand .

A life-size bronze statue dominates the Brander market square. In 1976 this statue by the sculptor Prof. Karl-Henning Seemann was erected at the instigation of the local citizens' association.

The bull is probably derived from the Korneliushorn in the coat of arms of the district, which represents the former affiliation to the imperial abbey Kornelimünster and at the same time symbolizes the alleged stubbornness ( "bullish" local patriotism) of the residents of Brand.
