The Brasserie Amos was a beer brewery based in Metz in Lorraine . Most recently (1989) the brewery's output was 230,000 hl.

history

The brewery was founded on October 1st, 1868 by Gustave Amos. In 1905 the brewery was converted into a public limited company. At that time the brewery was the third largest in the Moselle region with an output of 70,000 hl . In the interwar period, the brewery was even able to increase its output to 180,000 hl annually. In December 1988 the Amos family sold the brewery to the German brewery group Karlsberg . In 1993 the brewery in Metz was closed. Today the beer is brewed at the Brasserie Licorne de Saverne, which also belongs to Karlsberg.

The Brasserie Amos sold their beer under the following brands: Ackel Bier, Amertime, Biere Corso, Amos spéciale Urtyp, Duc luxe, Fock beer, Hansberg, Kolblan, Look up forum, Mezbrau, Mosbrau, Mosel Bier, Prima Bock, Special bock.
