Roasts

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A roaster is a historical kitchen appliance for roasting meat, sausage, fish or bread over an open fire. Nowadays a pan is used for this.

The roasting pan consists of an iron plate on which the food was roasted over an open fire. There are round roasts , which are usually rotatably mounted on a stand, and rectangular or trapezoidal devices with three or four feet. The devices can be simple or richly decorated ironwork.
