Paul Lohse Brewery

The Paul Lohse brewery was a beer brewery in Geising in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

history

The brewery was founded in 1862. In 1876 it was taken over by a Mr. Kaiser and existed as the Kaiser brewery. In 1886 it was taken over by H. Friedrich, then in 1895 by L. Bach. In 1902 it passed into the possession of Georg Oelschlägel and in 1906 to Arthur Fleischinger. Two years later it was taken over by Robert Friedrich and, from 1911, Paul Lohse. On September 11, 1914, Lohse died during the war north of Goldap ( East Prussia ) as a guard rider in the Battle of the Masurian Lakes and the brewery was closed.
