Brewing water

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Brewing water is specifically for the brewing of beer treated water that for the preparation of the wort is used.

differences

The quality and composition of the brewing water are decisive for the characteristics of a beer, which is why beers from different regions used to have different tastes. Today this is hardly the case any more due to various processing methods. A decisive criterion is the mineral content of the brewing water, which makes a significant contribution to the quality of beers. The pH value also plays an important role here.
