Bretteau

Bretteau (* in the 19th century ; † after 1905) was a French actor who was only known by his stage name.

Life

In 1898 he took on the role of Jesus Christ in the film La vie et la passion de Jésus-Christ . The film was directed by Georges Hatot and Louis Lumière . In 1901 he was seen in the film Histoire d'un crime by Ferdinand Zecca . This film is the first crime film in film history. Nothing is known about him and his private life. About his work as an actor is known that he was active from 1898 to 1905.
