Bridge Capital

Bridge Capital is a term from the field of over- the -counter equity capital and thus corporate financing. In the narrower sense, this is equity or debt capital that is made available to a company immediately before an IPO , thus making it easier or possible in the first place.

The bridge capital is provided by specialized companies or banks. This may be syndicated; H. that the capital injection will then be borne by several donors.

After the IPO and the associated inflow of funds, the bridge capital is usually replaced.
