Letters on Interdisciplinarity (BZI) appears twice a year and is published by the Andrea von Braun Foundation . The aim of the foundation is to promote interdisciplinary exchange and cooperation, the result of which should be new perspectives and methods. The focus is not only on a comparison of the common sciences, but also on the broadest possible approximation of the areas through projects and dialogues in the humanities, natural, engineering and social sciences as well as arts and crafts.

The experience reports of the scholarship holders published in the Letters of Interdisciplinarity represent an evaluation of the individual projects with regard to the interdisciplinary context, with each issue being oriented towards a different focus.
