Bristol Orpheus

The Bristol-Siddeley Orpheus was a British jet engine developed by Bristol Aero Engines (subsidiary of the Bristol Aircraft Company ). The single-shaft engine has a seven-stage compressor and a single-stage turbine, both of which are axial. The variant 701 generates a static thrust of 20.11  kN .

The engine was used in the Folland Gnat as well as the Fiat G.91 and the Fuji T-1 and served as the basis for the Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine.
