Brochard the German

Brochard the German (French for Burkhardt , also Brochard l'Allemand or l'Alemant ) was a Dominican of the 14th century.

Some authors ascribe to him the book Directorium ad passagium faciendum , completed in 1332 , which Philip VI. (France) . He is also considered the author of L'advis directif pour faire le passage d'oultremer , a travel guide to Outremer , the crusader states on the other side of the sea ("outre mer").
