Bruno Ricardo Menezes Ferreira Ribeiro (* in the 20th century in Figueira da Foz ) is a Portuguese opera singer (tenor).

Career

Ribeiro studied first at the Lisbon State Conservatory, then with George Kok in Pretoria and with Emma Renzi in Johannesburg (South Africa).

During his studies he already appeared as Belmonte, Alfredo and Conte Almaviva. He made his professional debut as Don Ottavio in Michigan, then played Nemorino on Italian stages.

He gave guest appearances as Beppe (Pagliacci) at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa and as Ismaele (Nabucco) at the St. Margarethen Opera Festival in Austria. He later appeared as Narraboth (Salome) in Turin and as Alvaro (The Power of Fate) and Almaviva in Florence.

He has appeared in roles with Verdi and Donizetti in Busseto, at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, in Wiesbaden, in Minneapolis, Dublin and Minnesota. He made his debut at the Operklosterneuburg as Don José in Carmen . He interpreted the Cavaradossi in Leipzig and Erl , the Ruggero ( La Rondine ) in Miami. He came to Monte Carlo as Raffaele in Verdi's Stifellio , as des Grieux in Puccini's Manon to Montreal, and as Foresto in Attila to St. Gallen. As Maurizio in Adriana Lecouvreur , he performed in Bilbao and Nice. In 2016 he was the Turridu in Cavalleria rusticana in the imperial court of Klosterneuburg Abbey.
