Bookseller sales order

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The booksellers' sales order was drawn up by the Leipzig Stock Exchange Association of German Booksellers . It served to subject the traffic between the book trade and the public to binding rules.

The beginnings of the bookseller's sales regulations go back to 1843, the first of the Börsenverein appeared in 1906.

Failure to comply with the rules could lead to exclusion from the exchange association. Today, due to the cartel legislation, no binding sales regulations can be drawn up.
