A bushing is a mechanical attachment between two potentially moving parts, or a reinforced attachment point where one mechanical assembly is attached to another. In the suspension of a car or other vehicle, bushings are used to connect the various moving arms and pivot points to the chassis and other parts of the suspension. In machines, the bushing ensures the mechanical strength of the rotor.
